Marin County Girl Scout Day Camp

Camp Arequipa: Girl Scout Day Camp 2024

Adult volunteers have FUN at Day Camp!

ADULTS at Camp

Arequipa Day Camp is staffed by volunteers from our Girl Scout community. Working at camp is an opportunity to have fun, feel like a child again and enjoy the outdoors. Every full-time volunteer who joins our staff allows six campers to attend that session of camp.

We can only offer our day camp to girls if adults volunteer to come and have fun with us!

Background Check. All adults who volunteer at camp when campers are present MUST complete an ANNUAL background Check through Girl Scouts. If you cannot afford this fee, please complete the Financial Assistance Portal rather than the Self-Pay portal option.

Adult Volunteers are required to complete 18 hours of training prior to camp. Returning Staff can get up to 6 hours credit for previous experience. Up to 6 hours can be online trainings (these trainings will qualify for 3 years after taken*), 6 hours yearly of on-site trainings (Site Safety and Meet the Director/Team trainings meet this requirement), and additional training hour credits are available for troop and personally beneficial trainings. We offer plenty of free trainings to meet the 18-hour requirement, but some of these courses have a fee associated with them for materials, etc. (Check with your troop to see if they can be reimbursed since they will be beneficial to your troop as well.)
