Marin County Girl Scout Day Camp

Camp Arequipa: Girl Scout Day Camp 2024

Making new friends

WHY WE LIKE DAY CAMP!

EARNING badges, eating Otter Pops, archery, swimming, workshops, leather, singing songs and meeting new friends are some of the many things that make Arequipa special to me. I have been to other camps, but Arequipa is the friendliest!
— Siena, age 12

I REALLY enjoyed doing the crafts especially the leather crafts and name tags. I LOVED Archery. It was so fun. It’s hard to explain why. And sleeping outside under the stars on the overnight!
— Bonnie, age 13
I LOVE camp because we get to learn about nature, go on hikes and do outdoor cooking. Also the staff is really nice! (The Otter Pops are good, too!)
— Julia, age 10
Program aides I’VE been coming to camp since I was seven years old. I love everything about camp, the atmosphere is wonderful, and everyone is so helpful and kind. I am so proud to be a member of such a great camp. Through my years of camp I’ve moved up through the ranks from a camper, ANT, PA, U-LIT, and now I am a Director-in-Training, and I can’t wait to see where else Girl Scouts will take me through my life.
— Lauren, age 17

I LOVE all of the fun activities at camp because they are awesome, and I can’t wait to be a PA!!!!
— Caroline, age 12
